Batangas City, Philippines – The University of Batangas (UB) has embarked on an exciting venture to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in South Luzon through a strategic partnership with the Innovation Consortium of South Luzon (ICONS). This momentous alliance was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 23, 2023, at the Steerhub Building on the BSU Alangilan campus. It brings together a formidable network of esteemed institutions.
Proudly joined by renowned members such as Batangas State University CTI, De La Salle Animo Labs, De La Salle Lipa Nexus Labs, UP Los Baños S.I.B.O.L. Business Incubation, First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities Brainsparks, DOST-FPRDI, Laguna State Polytechnic University ATBI, Cavite State University Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator, and the University of Batangas CBI, this collaboration represents a significant stride towards nurturing startups and cultivating a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in South Luzon.
Through the establishment of Technology Business Incubators (TBIs), this partnership aims to provide comprehensive assistance and guidance to startups. The TBIs will offer an array of resources, mentorship programs, and valuable networking opportunities, fostering an environment where innovation, collaboration, and growth can thrive.
