UB Center for Business and Innovation Celebrates Success of 3ANJ and IMIS Startups in DICT STEP UP Acceleration Program

Batangas, Philippines – December 12, 2023

The UB Center for Business and Innovation (CBI) is proud to announce the successful completion of the DICT STEP UP Acceleration Program by two standout startups, 3ANJ and IMIS. The achievement was highlighted at the program’s Demo Day, held on December 11, 2023, at the Batangas State University (BSU) Alangilan campus.

The Demo Day served as a platform for ten commendable startups to showcase their accomplishments arising from the STEP UP Acceleration Program. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the DICT ICT Industry Development Bureau and DICT Region 4A, in partnership with the Center for Technopreneurship and Innovation at Batangas State University.

Among the notable startups that have emerged successfully from the program are ExportHubPH, Gawa, Pamana, Tangkilik, IMIS, Care4Juan, Juan D’ Job, 3ANJ, KaliMap, and Turó. These ventures were recognized for their outstanding progress and innovative contributions to their respective industries.

The STEP UP Acceleration Program, spanning three intensive months, was spearheaded by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). The program provided holistic support to the participating startups, encompassing capacity-building exercises aimed at transforming conceptual ideas into viable and sustainable businesses.

Participants underwent rigorous training and guidance in various aspects of entrepreneurship, including market strategies, brand development, and operational frameworks. The program aimed to equip these startups with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the competitive business landscape.

The collaborative effort between DICT and Batangas State University’s Center for Technopreneurship and Innovation underscores a commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit within the local business community.
